Been playing "Perfect" on repeat since this morning. Love Pink. Love Kurt and Blaine singing it. Love when Kurt sings in his lower register. Definitely his after sex voice.
Figgins--the most inconsistant principal EVER. Boy getting shoved into lockers, NBD. Kids getting thrown into dumpsters, whatever. Slushies thrown at kids, not a weapon, it's all good. Fighting in the halls, who cares. Death threats, can't prove it. Slap? Two week suspension, it's plot-convenient.
While I liked Beiste's and Puck's songs, I would have GLADLY given them (and Finn's song PLEASE Finn's song--that balad was painful, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe in context... but nope.) up for more of Perfect (the verse they cut is SO relevant to Santana, sheesh) and more of the Kurt and Santana plot.
Agreed. I want Santana to realize how she acts with Kurt.
Supportive!Blaine. <3
They sing Perfect in the car to each other and I squealed!!!!<3
Who is this Carole person? You mean the mother that Finn refers to by her first name?
Puck/Shelby... make it go away. Also, PUCK CUT YOUR HAIR.
I'm in agreement with everything you said. *seconding*
The verse they cut made me mad. It belonged in there instead of some of the other weird, random songs. And rewatching, I kind of felt that Santana was digging the verse Kurt was singing, until Blaine started rapping. It was liking it, but still being really uncomfortable with all the attention on her and as a matter of fact, the realization that she has something to do with that "blood and fire" he had to go though. Not a cozy position to be in.
I really need Santana to stop bullying Kurt and start connecting with the gay community right in front of her. It's… sad. And frustrating. Why does everyone get to hate on Kurt without repercussions?
Honestly, I'm still not quite sure what Finn did that made her have a magical I'm all better revelation. I think it would have worked better if he had been his well-meaning, but bumbling self, done that stupid ballady version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun at the beginning where they did Perfect, and did Perfect where the ballad was... and had THAT been the high point of the episode. (And I really don't think this is through Klaine glasses. That song makes more sense and actually has more meaning, both in tone and for Santana and from the characters.)
And yes, Santana... there are other gay people there. Work with them rather than against them!
I've got this sinking feeling that neither Kurt or Rachel will get into NYADA this year in order to keep them for next season or something. Which makes me sad but with the way things are going, I'm hoping he gets an even better offer or something if they do take that away from him
( ... )
I don't think he'll get into NYADA either. Unless it's through some other means, a recruiter hears him singing somehow. But keeping them around next season is just CRUEL. Kurt has been waiting to get out of this town for most of his life
( ... )
I'm guessing Kurt went early decision with NYADA since he's pretty set on it. If their regular decision deadline was at the end of November, then their early decision would be around early November so it makes sense.
Personally, I thought that had Kurt won, it would be more implausible than Brittany winning. These things are such popularity contests and I never got the sense that Kurt even had enough misfits to vote for him.
And I don't get why he hadn't tried to bribe the student body more -- in my high school, candy, coupons, toys, magnets were all given out, all with VOTE FOR "X" on them. It's amazing what one could do with a home printer these days... One guy even handed out milk and cookies on a "milk and cookies" platform that would make Fridays a Milk and Cookies Day. Stuff like that endear you to the student body, not lectures about bullying...
Why? Because the writing is massively contrived, probably. And bribing wouldn't have helped anyway. But having storylines where the ending is so obvious, and irrelevant, is boring. Who cares if Brittany is class president? What effect does it have? And what effect does it have if Burt wins, other than Sue's immediate threat is diffused (which would happen if the pizza guy won, too). If they'd put their whole ass into this one, then it might've actually done something for the show.

And the only reason I find Puck/Shelby entertaining is for their pairing name...Shuck is HILARIOUS to me for some reason. Lol

Also, why is Puck in math class with all the "juniors"?
