I've got this sinking feeling that neither Kurt or Rachel will get into NYADA this year in order to keep them for next season or something. Which makes me sad but with the way things are going, I'm hoping he gets an even better offer or something if they do take that away from him.
I love their version of Perfect- it's probably one of their best duets, TBH, so why they felt the need to have Santana rag on it and then have her break down for Finn had my DAD wondering what was going on. (His exact words were "...why is she crying over this guy and not the gay ones? Doesn't she hate this guy?")
Also, wtf was up with Quinn's voting guidelines? Besides the gay business- which Quinn obviously didn't mind because she supported Kurt's anti-bullying ideals- how is Rick any more 'white' or any less ethnic than Kurt or Brittany?
I think this show has a horrible double-standard with Kurt's bullying versus the bullying of everyone else. For some reason, bullying Kurt is STILL somewhat acceptable to them. The girls stepped in with Santana when she seemed to be perfectly capable of dealing with that homophobic jock but held a meeting to determine that manipulating their boyfriends into doing the right thing was what they did for Kurt? -_-;
Constant Craving- Can Kurt and Santana sing together more? Even if it was just one line- and that Perfect was the best song of the episode- I really loved that.
Puck/Shelby reeeeally makes me rage, not in the sense that she's a teacher and he's a student (lol I modded the Supernatural wincest community for a long time and I started out in the Harry Potter fandom, so there isn't much out there that squicks me) but by how damn weak and needy they've made Shelby. When Puck said he wouldn't sleep with Quinn because she was nuts, he's really just being selective over what kind of crazy he'll sleep with because Shelby is one sleepless night away from CrazyTown with how they've written her. Isn't this the coach that held 24-hour practices with her glee club and made sure they were all on liquid diets? As it stands, she seems to be having trouble raising a pretty well-behaved baby without the help of a high school student.
Santana at her abuela's? (grandmother's? SPANISH, WHY DO I NOT KNOW IT?)was heart-breaking but only the third time I've ever felt sympathetic to Santana's situation but it really just ends up bringing me back to my rage at her pushing away the only two people who understand her issues at home. Kurt's dealt with the fear of coming out and Blaine's dealt with the result of coming out to someone not as supportive as they should be.
xD Oh, God. I complain so much about this show but watch me keep coming back week after week.
I don't think he'll get into NYADA either. Unless it's through some other means, a recruiter hears him singing somehow. But keeping them around next season is just CRUEL. Kurt has been waiting to get out of this town for most of his life!
I know Finn's was a ballad or something, but it would've been nice if they'd flipped Finn's sobby song with Perfect, and had her scoff at his song, have that second conversation about the suicides with him (or KURT!) and then hear Perfect and start to break down (and maybe laugh at the rapping part). The writers just so wanted to make Finn the hero of this episode. Kind of gross.
Double-standard: Yep! I'm glad he has Blaine to give him support now. Maybe now that his dad is a senator, they can both scurry back to Dalton.
Making Shelby actually consider this, and NEED Puck… sigh.
Agreed on her pushing away Kurt and Blaine. I think the writers have a problem with gay guys.
Quinn's voting guidelines (which shouldn't matter because does she care about her dad anymore?) were more like: Who is most like me? Which is how her dad votes. Most white for her dad, most girl for Quinn.
