[He had woken from dreamless sleep a long time ago, but did not yet have the will to move. Vacant eyes were trained on the ceiling, one hand rested on his stomach and the other by his side, still savouring the small aches and pains which served as a reminder of life.]
...Come in, miss. My hearing isn't what it used to be.
[Opening the door slowly, Kira poked her head in, then leaned against the doorframe. Her hands unconsciously opened and closed at the sight of the Professor, but she simply spoke again in as friendly a tone as possible.]
Just wondering if there was anything I could get you. Food, something to drink, painkillers possibly?
[He sat up slowly as she entered, experimentally, testing the feel of flesh and bone. The perfect body of Weiss which he had temporarily inhabited was a distant memory - that vessel had been respondant to his every whim, a hideous contrast to his own aged and physically devastating shell.]
Those things in due time, miss. Right now I am more interested in information.
[Nothing hurt too much... rest was apparently all he needed. Which is ironic, given the long 'rest' he had just returned from. Hojo turned to look at his companion.]
Where is Reeve? What is your relationship with him?
[Turning her head to one side, she debated for a brief second what to tell him. Then again, there was nothing wrong with telling him at least that much...]
The commissioner is busy working at the moment, if I remember correctly. Which is why I'm here with you and his cats. As for me, well, I'm just an old SOLDIER, doing him a favor.
[With a small, extremely amused smile, Kira went off to locate what the Professor had asked for. She brought the towel first and set her PHS on the table, Reeve's number already selected.]
There's those. I'll get the clothes in a moment or so, if that's all right with you.
[Taking the towel she brought with no further comment, Hojo located the bathroom without difficulty. Reeve's apartment was, after all, dismally small.
He closed the door and peeled off the grimy layers of his previous life, giving a semi-unconscious glance into the tiny mirror overhanging the sink, and quickly looked away again.
The hot shower was bliss...]
[Raising his voice to call over the sound of rushing water:] You will leave the clothes outside the door, young miss.
[Going through the clothes, Kira quickly found a simple shirt and pants, and set them outside the bathroom. The urge to leave some of her own clothes - like the waitress outfit she had with her for some odd reason - was overruled by the fact that having to live with a grumpy scientist, for however long, wasn't exactly high on her to do list.]
The clothes are out here, and the phone. I'll be making something to eat if you want it.
[The shirt was too broad around the shoulders, and he needed to roll up the bottom of the trousers - but, anything was better than what he had changed out of. Hojo did not need more reminders of previous failures.
He followed the girl's voice into the kitchen, leaning against the door frame as he dialed Reeve's number and waited for the line to connect.]
Make noodle soup, if you can. I don't trust myself with anything heavy at the moment.

Towel, clothes, phone. Understood. Would you like me to wear a maid outfit while doing all that or would what I have on be okay?

Oh, do you offer such service to Reeve as well? I never knew the man.
Your current attire is fine, young miss. Mine, however, could be improved, I'm sure you would agree. Now, the items, if you please.
