[Kira's handwriting is a little shaky on the paper as she begins to write, but becomes cleaner as she keeps on with it.]
Weird writing by hand again, but with Shiva knows who running around the place, I don't feel like doing much on the computer. Encrypting and all that isn't exactly one of my strong points.
So for the first time in...ages, really, I'm back in a semi-military situation. Keeping someone from going anywhere is kind of boring, actually, but at least I got to get the old weaponry out. Even managed to get that old stockpile of guns and whatnot from the back of the cafe before I closed it and ran all the way to Reeve's apartment building. Probably looked a little crazy running through Edge with all that weaponry, but was in a bit of a hurry and didn't notice.
Got Dante here; he seems to love playing with Reeve's cats Nessie and Ghillie. I hope he's not annoying them, actually.
So barring a full-scale attack by Deepground some insurgent force that I've not yet heard about, the building will be safe.
If people are coming back, does that mean...
[The rest of the line has been violently slashed through, going through the paper in a few places.]

Standing from her desk, Kira walked across the living room of the apartment. The cats were all asleep in a pile (on her favorite blanket, no less), and she smiled at them briefly before going to one of the closed bedroom doors and knocking on it.
"Professor, you need anything?"
[ooc: taking a bit of liberty concerning Hojo's location at the moment; please tell me if I'm totally off here!]
