Shipping Meme: Day 19
Day 19: Favorite Hero/Villain pairing
Padmé Amidala/Darth Vader, such as in moonspinner's wonderful (and unfortunately in limbo) fic Kaleidoscope. That's P/V as I like it best: the two of them on opposing sides, yet realizing they still have this innate connection, have similar goals... and realizing just how much power each of them has over the other, and caught in a fine line between using that power and succumbing to it. Delicious. I miss that fic.
Unfortunately, so many P/V fics I've seen resort to tropes like forced marriage, dubious consent, age-swapping P/V to make him older, etc. - just not my cup of tea. But the mutual desire/power game angle - yessss, gimmee!
Also fun: Obi-Wan Kenobi/Asajj Ventress. Their borderline innuendo, hate-flirting, and her suggestive body language to him in TCW was hilariously entertaining. I don't know that I'd ever want to see it go further than it went in the show, however. (Though some hate!sex crackfic might be fun, too.)
