Vaughn Pearson was on Warehouse 13!!!!
Ok, so really Robert Clark--the actor who played him on Strange Days at Blake Holsey High--was, but it was still a cool surprise. My sister and I--the only two people in the family who watch the show--just looked at each other with wide eyes. And, as a result of being familiar with the actor, I totally want to ship Claudia/Gary. :P
I think I kind of ship Kelly/Pete. I don't know why, other than sometimes I can't help but fall for the bickering couple. I think maybe it's the way she doesn't fall for his charms, but still went to dinner with him. Maybe it's the way dating Kelly will make Pete feel more settled and less like he's going to die alone, sucked into the world of the warehouse. I don't know how serious I want them to be and I still want Pete/Myka, but for now, I totally ship them.
And, speaking of shipping, Artie and the doctor were kind of cute. Leena hasn't been around for forever, so I've kind of forgotten I used to ship them.
When I wasn't shipping the family dynamics made me smile. BigSister!Myka was pretty amazing. And Pete and Artie had a bit of father-and-son dynamic going along.
Of course, the show also brought the funny with this episode. Pete singing about Artie in-a-tree-k-i-s-s-i-n-g totally had me giggling, as immature as it was. Also, how hilarious was Claudia in the locker room?
Lastly, color me intrigued by H.G. Wells. What does she really want? And, furthermore, does she have living descendants??? My current wacky theory is that Myka is like her great-great-great, etc granddaughter. Further plot pondering: Is there some significance to Pete's belongings not coming? It could just be a character development thing, but it's continual mentioning has be alert for an oncoming plot arc.
I really need to find some WH13 icons from this episode. (Well, and other episodes!)
