Stupid Dr visit!

If you're in pain, isn't it great fun to sit in an exam room with a really uncomfortable chair for over an hr?  Fortunately, it was a different exam rm than the one I sat in a week ago... for over an hr!

What really got up my nose was the fact that I asked last week if anything could be done for my headaches, and he said no, he was running too far behind.  Today he almost said he couldn't do anything better than what I was already taking (600 mg motrin 3-4 X's daily).  Then he thought about it again (maybe my eyes burst into flames or something) and looked up various migraine meds and looked into giving me one of those.  I now have a brand new bottle of Inderal, a beta blocker.  Apparently it's used for blood pressure, cardiac problems and can prevent migraine.

It's not exactly like a normal migraine for me.  I have the pain that's near my rt temple, but it also wanders around to the top of my head and towards the bridge of my nose.  I don't have the really bad aversion to light and food like I usually do.  It's kind of like a mini-migraine and a tension headache got together and had a kid and that's what I have.  It wouldn't be nearly so bad if I wasn't also having pain from my hand and rt elbow, and upper and lower back pain.  There's just too much hurting at once and I am tired of dealing with it.

I tink the epicondylitis might be coming back, but not sure.  When I mentioned this to the dr, he said I could go back to the PA I saw at that time and get another cortisone shot.  He made no mention of doing it himself.  Everyone else I've seen is far more hands on/proactive than he is.  Even the PA's!  WTF is up with that?  He never made any mention that I was also having pain in other areas and that's what is tipping me over the edge at the moment.  Maybe there's an AFI saying you can't have pain in more than one area at one time.

My numbness and tingling was improving daily until yest when I had two BB's to do.  I was so hot that the neoprene brace I use at work was all sweaty by lunchtime and I didn't wear it all the time after lunch.  Now my thumb is numb at the pad and my wrist joing is aching.

Weird dreams about coven ppl and tornadoes.

waiting, dr visit, headache, inderal, pain
