a little catch up

Today has been a good day. Yesterday wasn't bad either. Mark and I just watched Stardust. I just love movies like that. I feel all lovey and gooey and happy now. Just like after reading any part of the Twilight series. Mark and I started Eclipse yesterday. Three chapters in. He wants to know what happens in the end, but I'm not giving away anything.

I've been dying to make some cupcakes for two days now but haven't yet. Yesterday morning I went up to buy some butter, and then got home to realise that I didn't have enough cupcake cases. I wasn't bothered to walk back up there. I bought some more cases after work yesterday, but didn't get time to make them last night because we watched most of Eragon, and then we read Eclipse, and then I went to bed. This morning I got up hours before Mark did, and went up to work to buy some milk because the bottle we had is out of date today, and got home and started on the massive pile of washing up so that I could find all the bench space, and Mark was up and showered before I'd finished washing up. I think the fact that I had to wash up got me down, because I still feel like Mark isn't really pulling his weight. He is, he's just not doing as much as I do, which bothers me. I'm going to have to have another talk to him. After I washed up, we took his computer around to Jason's so that he could look at it because it's been running slow, dropped in to visit Mum, and spent a couple of hours in town. I didn't buy anything for myself, but got to look more at things I might like for my birthday and for Christmas, as well as things to buy for other people. It was a good shop. I love shopping, I really do. I get a little high from buying things for myself (I bought a new dress and handbag on Thursday night, and some DVDs last week) but I don't often splurge on something so big. Usually I just buy myself an apple slice for lunch or a packet of biscuits or something, because lately I haven't had much spare money. Not that I have spare money at the moment.

So I have thrush. Again. Which is mildly exciting in my not-so-exciting life, but also bodering on a little bit too much information. I bought some cream today, which is different to the first one I used, and possibly the best I have used. I'm hoping it'll work. If anyone has had thrush, they know what I'm talking about. Damn infections. And this time I have no idea where I got it from. I'm looking up some healthy ways to treat it, but I know I'll resort to the cream and modern medicine soon enough.

Mark's work Christmas party is tonight, as is Charlotte's 21st. We made a deal. We're going to the Christmas party for an hour or so, and then driving out to Charlotte's. Mark isn't drinking at his party, because he has to drive out to Charlotte's. I feel bad not being able to be there early, but Mark had already paid for the Christmas party. I can't wait for Charlotte's. It's going to be the best night in a long time. There will be photos. And hopefully Charlotte likes her present.

Anyway, I've gotta go get ready now. Just a short blog for today.
