A little bit of ^_^, a lot of T.T (edit)and then a ;3

Argh, I really need to take pictures, my hair is still pink (I love it!) with a few strands gone to ashy blonde and the rest varying degrees of pink and salmon (well, plus the normal brown).  I'll be sure to have pictures from our safe halloween at school...I'm being the wicked witch of the east XD...mainly because I don't really want to make a costume I'm only going to wear once, so I'm wearing a lolita outfit consisting of a black JSK with spider web tulle sticking out the bottom (removable so that I can wear it at other times of the year), white peterpan button down (I'd do black, but I have a white one already made and I'm a little crunched for time), mini witch hat, black and white stocking and red sequined shoe covers. Nods.  For Halloween I gets a Hello Kitty JSK ^_^...I'll have pictures of this up too!

My writing group at school is purdy awesome as well...classes purdy much suck, but I love the 7 page paper I just wrote on how In a Station of the Metro (a 20 word (including title) poem) by Ezra Pound is a Modernist piece due to it form and visual structure.  Especially now that it's over...

Now for rant:

Vista sucks. 5 hours on the phone between Lenovo and Microsoft trying to get blue screen of death to go away and what happens? Vista whacks out and wants an activation key for my 'non genuine' version of Vista. I plug in the code I have and know works (you know, came with my system oh, 8 months ago)and it denies it. Then I do the phone activation version and it denies that to. In the end, Microsoft says sorry, no new code for you and royally screws up my system to the point that the only thing I could do (Lenovo agreed at this point)was restore it to factory settings (after haphazardly trying to save any documents I could) thus losing a crapload of files, and programs.

So I settle into the fact that everything was restored. No problem, that means I have my basic office 2007 installed as well as the lenovo programs...

Then there's no office 2007.

No problem, the disk is...

not with the other recovery disks.

Thus adding to my screwedness. Once again there's nothing I can do and I've been through everywhere I think it could possibly be (as well as getting laughed at when calling microsoft...haven't tried lenovo, don't want to seem like more of a boob than I already am). That means I'm gonna be out $150 if I pay for a new version...not sure if open office comes with some sort of onenote (which I MUST have for its awesome note takingness with my tablet pc).

I was an avid Vista enthusiast up until about three weeks ago when the supposedly eliminated Blue Screen of Death started showing up. Now I'm tempted to down(up)grade to XP. Hell, I may even go all the way over to Ubuntu...

I love Macs, but I got this PC because of the tablet function. If Mac would hurry up and come out with their version...

So much for a nice mid semester break.

Edit:

I had totally forgotten about the existence of openoffice.org  Dear me.  It is absolutely amazing...and FREE!  My only qualm is the lack of tablet compatibility (can't write on things...but windows journal is part of vista and not office, so I can just use that or photoshop...or illustrator), but that's supposedly in the works...so I'm thinking I can adjust....though I got another BSOD...I think it's somehow related to mozilla, so I uninstalled that and am working (coping) with IE...think I may see if safari or opera will work without BSOD...
