Another quick post...

We had to stop into an internet cafe to see if Stephanie and Becky had recieved our e-mail about meeting up with them today, so I decided that I could update in eight minutes. Let's see how much I get through.

First of all, the fact that I have updated two days in a row is very odd. I'm sure it won't continue at this volume, but at a dollar or less per hour, we can afford to check our mail from time to time.

Yesterday we spent the day shopping on the tourist streets. They were so awesome, and I'm glad we got to scope some things out. I know a few things that I still want to buy, and since we are going to leave Bangkok soon, I had time to think about if I would really use everything or not, which was nice. I did buy a few things that I'm really excited about! For anyone who knows what Pocky is - I bought an almost Andy Warhol-esque Pocky purse. I totally dig it, but at $6, I felt very ripped off. I'm sure most of you just read that and thought I'd lost my mind, but I just can't wrap my head around paying that much for a purse anymore. Thailand is much more expensive than China, and we are sooooo cheap now. It was distressing to us that some tourists weren't even trying to bargain! How are WE supposed to get a good price is you don't even bat an eye and pay the original price?! It's tough, because the prices are raised a lot now... the seller knows that some other tourist will pay more, so it would be better to just wait.

Today we went to the biggest tourist draw, the Emerald Buddah and Grand Palace. We also hired a tuk-tuk (a small three wheel taxi) for 50 baht (or a $1.25) to take us to three other temples. We didn't see the reclining buddah, but we did see the giant standing buddha, the sitting buddah, and golden mountain. They were all beautiful!

OKAY so I have one minute, I'm going to just post this, sorry for any typos!
