Its didn't get canceled this year due to freak snowstorms or hurricanes! We even got one batch of trick or treaters, so far. Spending the day playing Oblivion*. It may look like a fantasy rpg, but so far this week I've killed vampires, ghosts, skeletons, and zombies.
Its hot and I was bored, so I ended up watching an infomercial for Time Life's Power of Love collection. 150 timeless love songs from the 70s-90s, most of which were probably from the 70s or early 80s since I didn't recognize them. So to celebrate Labor Day, Best Buy was running a three day sale and offering free shipping. I decided to save three bucks in bus fare and buy a cd and two used video games on Monday.
There's nothing like songs you loved in high school showing up on a "retro" music channel to make you feel old.
Fortunately, there's nothing like a famous person's well publicized 200th birthday to put things back in the proper perspective. So, Happy Birthday Charles Dickens! And thank you! :)
I accept that the CD database iTunes uses has limits to what you can list as genre for an album, and that they aren't always what I want to list something as. However, there are better choices than electronica/dance for albums by Skinny Puppy.
