¹詩 (shi) means “poem” and it’s sung as うた (uta) which means “song”, implying that “a poem is a song”.
²惑星 (wakusei) means “planet” and it’s sung as ほし (hoshi) which means “star”, implying that “a planet is a star”.
³命 (inochi) means “life, destiny” and again it’s sung as うた (uta) which means “song”, implying that “a life is a song”.
⁴地球 (chikyuu) means “Earth” and it’s sung as ふね (fune) which means “boat, vessel, ship”, implying that “the Earth is a ship/vessel one sails on”.
