Old fan fiction never dies, it re-surfaces when you least expect it

I got a review a few days ago for a piece of Sentinel fiction I wrote ten years ago. The reader actually liked the story and the review led me to my web page to re-read it and a few others.

I will always have a soft spot for The Sentinel as it was the first fandom I posted fiction for, but I cringe at some of the stuff I wrote. The ideas for the stories weren't bad, but the execution left quite a bit to be desired, in my opinion. Especially if the piece was more than a couple of hundred words and not a bit of silly fluff. I just didn't flesh out the stories enough, expecting the reader to get too many character and setting details from the show rather than my stories.

I have a Sentinel story in my WIP folder that I need to finish. Perhaps I can do better with this one.
