This is wonderful! I love it! You did both the characters so beautifully! I especially liked She arranged herself artfully as a snake might on a sunny rock and Lana's eyes shimmered with crocodile tears, and, of course, the last line! Thank you so much for doing this!

I sent another check to the Red Cross yesterday, and one to the Humane Society. I figured I really should, since you were writing me something. Thanks again!
