(no subject)
1. Finally going to see Deathly Hallows tomorrow! At the imax. So excited! I rewatched HBP in preparation, which I really liked when I saw at the cinema, but found almost dull this time round. The viewing experience was however greatly improved by my dad watching it alongside me and asking me questions such as "Does Hogwarts die in this one' and right at the very end, "wait, is that girl [Ginny]. Ron's sister?" :DDDDD It was weird watching footage from the premieres and of the fans that had camped over night etc, I can't quite believe I did that FIVE years ago.
2. And speaking of HP, Darren Criss is my new favourite person! (he went to the premiere all dressed up and seriously watch this vid, it's less than three minutes of joy!!!) I mean, I watched A Very Potter Musical last year and enjoyed it a lot, but was still not ecstatic when he was cast in Glee (I wanted Sam/Kurt, dammit) and while I am not completely sold on Blaine yet (well, sure Kurt/Blaine is probably the only thing I've read in a few weeks, but fic!Blaine is very different from what we've seen of him in canon so far) but due to Glee publicity there are all these interviews and he is ridiculous and hilarious and I heart him so much. Like this interview is the best thing ever, he is sitting on the pavement and eating his breakfast and talks about flowers with a random passer by and answers super random questions. And here he sings Teenage Dream life and makes my face like this: *________*
3. I love Yuletide, I nearly missed the deadline this year, because I had no idea what I wanted. There are the truly rare things I always want fic for (every John Hughes movie ever. Daria.) but also pretty much all the tv shows I've watched this year (Misfits, Nikita, Mad Men, TVD, Hellcats, Lip Service etc) are eligible and there were so many options. At the end I figured, I probably don't need to ask for Nathan/Kelly or Alex/Nikita, or Marti/Savanna, because someone was bound to write it and went for character fic about characters that I love, which don't really get much fic. Pretty pleased with my assignment as well. Also, I love looking at people's Dear Author letters, have even bookmarked a few, which I want to write something for if I have the time.
4. Skating with the Stars is objectively terrible, but I don't even care because I get to see Johnny Weir and Tanith Belbin on my tv computer screen every week. I just wish there was more of Tanith and Johnny was meaner. I like it when the judges are mean in a constructive way, which is probably why Craig is by far my favourite Strictly judge. (I guess DWTS didn't want him, because he is too mean, but I agree with him most of the time and enjoy his face the rest of the time. And this is a tangent, but whatever. I've never in my life voted for a reality show and unless Johnny Weir competes I probably never will, so I guess I shouldn't complain about Ann, but I truly don't understand why people keep voting for her, I mean WHY?)
5. Currently listening to the Burlesque soundtrack, it is so fun! :))) Probably should be ashamed about how excited I am for this movie, even if it's unlikely I'll find someone to see it with me.
