Deathly Hallows!! I absolutely adored it. It was so beautiful, like seriously was it all filmed in the UK? And where are all these spectacular landscapes?
So after Ron destroys the ring, he says something about there being THREE more, when there are four. I hope that's a mistake...
My most hated scene in HBP is when the Burrow burned down, but it's all been rebuild and looks exactly the same! Which is weird, bit ok! And then the same faith fell upon the Lovegood house, which means no Luna's ceiling, one of my favourite scenes. :(
Oh but everything else I loved, their acting has totally improved! The cinematography was stunning. The seven Potters scene and the ambush and its aftermath absolutely gorgeous! Everything looks like I'd imagined it, Godrig's Hollow and Bathillda, the wedding, the scene on the Hogwarts express, Hermione obliviating her parents (but not sending them to Australia?) the ministry scene, Malfoy Mannor, Snape, EVERYTHING, I didn't want it to end. In particular all the camping, I loved the camping scenes. And I LOVED the controversial Harry/Hermione dancing scene, it felt like a such a necessary breather, after the intense tension, both for the two of them and the audience, I am wary of random additions to the movies, but this is one addition I completely approve of. It made me laugh and I really needed that, just as they did, I see it as nothing more than a gesture of comfort, though an especially lovely one. What else? Oh Luna was of course perfection and the tale of the three brothers was gorgeous.
But a question, where IS Harry's cloak? I should probably reread the book, but it wasn't shown once during the movie, it would have been pretty useful in numerous occasions.
Glee. My favourite episode EVER. It was everything I had hoped for, but more!
I loved everything apart from the bizarre Sam/Quinn plot with the promise ring, wtf was that about? I can't tell if he is sincere, even if I adore Quinn and her skill with a nail file.
I LOVE SUE SO MUCH. I think this softer side of hers was perfectly in character and amazing. PORCELAIN.
I love Carol and Burt, they make a wonderful couple, I love that they clearly made the decision of Kurt's transferring together. I loved their dance down the aisle and they vows and how happy and proud they looked with both their sons.
Mike and Artie standing up to Karovski! After Kurt, Mike has become my favourite Glee boy. (which isn't hard with Artie being a douche, with Puck being Puck and with Sam's personality giving me whiplash.)
The dancing during Marry You was wonderful.
There was perfect amount of Mr Shue in this ep, and Sway was lovely!
I have created a lot of backstory about why Brittany dating Artie, and what it means that Santana insists she is dating Puck and then tries it with Finn and looks pained at the mention of love, which ends in Brittana, but I won't get into that now.
Kurt, oh Kurt. I love him so much. <3333 I am so glad the bullying in this episode wasn't physical, but psychological, because not knowing what was coming was somehow worse and he didn't ask anyone to stand up for him, he didn't tell anyone about Karovski, he called out Sue, he was so brave but he had to leave in the end, and I completely understand why, and oh my heart.
Which leaves us with Finn, who I still don't like at all, because the primary reason he sang that song to Kurt is to be a stud, a leader, to not let Sam get the better of him and become the QB again, to mollify Rachel and his mum and Burt and everyone else in Glee, it was a lovely gesture and Finn is big on gestures (shower curtain Gaga dress) and no follow through. His 'all about me' reaction at the end proved that right once again. I hope he is less selfish from now on, but I highly doubt it. I just don't like him. I guess Rachel is also selfish and I love her, but she has to deal with so much bullshit and she does awesome selfless things all the time, while with Finn I can't think of a single thing.
So excited for next week! Kurt in Dalton!
