#5 - Top 10 Musical Discoveries of 2007
I've noticed the top five is a bit North American-biased. I supposed I do live here, so I guess it's acceptable. I'll make up for it with numero uno.(previous years: 2006, 2005)

I can't actually narrow this down to a particular album yet, but I listen to this cat more than almost anything else these days. His flow is unbelievable, his rhymes thick, and his lyrics slick. His track concepts blow my mind (OMG 3 Beats and an MC!!!), and he's got the self-awareness to make his hip hop truly great. Plus, he's from Halifax, which is beyond weird but thankfully lead to tracks like The Maritimes. Really, check him out, I'll be trying to see him live on the 20th at the plaza.
