Stop The World I Wanna Get Off

Well I haven't written in awhile, I've been kind of all over the place. I dunno how I got through the week of my birthday alive. It was great that I got to hang out with everyone and drink ... well legally anyways... and all that, but it was sort of rough timing. I had a Biochem II test that friday and like a genius i decided to go over to celebrate Mark's 21st at Cardozo for a little the night before. Needless to day I woke up the next morning an hour before my test still drunk and got a little worried. For some reason though, it was one of the best tests I've ever taken, and I wound up with an A on it. So hey, maybe I should make a habit of this j.k

That Friday night I also go to finally hit up some of the bars in Port Jeff with Carly, Heather and Justin. Rob surprised me at the last minute like the big sweetheart he is and came along too. I had a really great time, but I don't think I would really wanna go to many bars around there without Rob around, there's a lot of skeevy people mixed in, and within 5 seconds of him going to the bathroom some drunk guy started asking me about my hair. I wasn't really worried for my sake, but I was literally praying for that guy's soul, because I knew the minute Rob came back he would rip his spleen out through his throat. Luckily, Rob merely shoved him out of the way when he came back, and no one had to call the coroner.

The rest of that weekend I pretty much studied for 2 other tests and slept. The following week I got my Bio and my Physics test out of the way, so I have a break for awhile now. THis semester is like a walk in the park compared to the last one. Last friday I went home and hung out with Andrea and Matt, as promised. Umbro came along too so that was excellent. They bought me Guiness, so I was more than happy.

Saturday I got to celebrate my Dad's, Sister's and my birthday with my whole family. I can't say enough how much I love them. They really are the greatest family in the world. Yaaaay sappy moment!

This week has been slow so I've been trying to do my best to going to the gym and eating better. I handed in my application for this fellowship over the summer so I hope I get it. My freshman year chem professor said I was a shoo-in, but Dr. Holdener pretty much told me I didn't have a chance in hell, so that was really good for my confidence. She's just kind of grizzled in general though, so I didn't take it personally. I hope I get it, it would be nice to have a well paying job for the summer doing something i like. Dr. Holdener said though, that even if i don't get it, I can work in the lab over the summer as much as I want, so that's nice at least.

oh! I completely forgot! My ceramics professor is in charge of this art branch of the Stony Brook URECA program where they pick students for their work. Each professor in the department gets to pick 3 students to submit their work and for some reason she picked my first project from last semester so I'm very honored. There's a big hoo-ha show for all the entries on April 20th at s*brook I think (it's a thursday) so if anyone wants to come and see some neat stuff you all should get your asses out here. I don't even mean to see mine, there's just a lot of really cool stuff to see there. Plus it's all amazingly catered from what I hear, so obviously free food is always good enough reason for me.
