Oof. That hasn't acted up in a while. Thanks, chest wound! Ow, ow, ow.

Chilled to the bone during weapons practice, hit repeatedly on each side of the neck, jabbed in the eye, bled from an open wound, punched in the ribs, and took many knee strikes to the gut.

All in all? A good training day. Now for some painkillers, rest, and get ready to do it again tomorrow. ‪

It is tradition in our school for a student to clean up their own blood after it has been spilled on the floor/carpet (for both sanitary and discipline issues.)

Today, I spent half an hour scrubbing my own blood stains out of the carpet.

I've had better days.

So, I landed on my neck tonight. Tomorrow is gonna suck.

Yesterday I managed to jab a sewing needle through my thumbnail. OW.

Clearly, I totally rolled a 1 on my sewing skill. I should probably dump more points into it when next I level up.

I've got a bruised heel, aching knees, sore thighs, swollen quad (from Juris' leg attack last night), and a bit of a pain in my left hip from trying to keep my balance while walking around with a quasi-Quasimodo-gimp-waddle at work. Yeah, I'm hobbling, but my near-lascivious love affair with Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen keep me functional ( Read more... )

Managed to return to KF after the illness, knowing full well that some physical stimulation would get the endorphins running again and speed up the healing. No, I'm certainly not 100%, hell I'm not even 80%, but I could punch, kick, and run a bit which is at least something.

On Saturdays, classes begin mid-morning for the Kung Fu students with half an hour of weapons practice and one hour of regular class time.
