Interesting and Informative Title Goes Here. Maybe, March 2007 Updates?

Been crazy busy. Sooooo much going on at once. Got lots done though. Here’s the recap.

Manga

On the weekends I’ve been mainly working on the latest iteration of my manga IP. The working title is Jogadi: Thief of Nothing. I’ve done the first outline for it and spent loads of time fleshing out the core aspects of the IP that pull it apart from everything else. Some really interesting things came out from that. Here’s a sneak preview of some of it:

Kosmos Élan

Waxing Bamboo

First Quarter Oak

Waning Willow

Last Quarter Sequoia

Full Sakura

If you are interested in knowing more about these, you can find the PDF on them here.

I haven’t touched Kokoro no Pasokon because I’ve been so busy focusing on getting all the I.P. work done for the Jogadi story. I will return to Kokoro and finish it up after I am at a good stopping point with the Jogadi IP.

I.P. Development

I finished the design for my Idea Management and Rapid Ideation Program and it has been handed off to a professional developer. I’m just getting back the first few prototypes of it this past weekend. You can read about what this program is here.

Just to give you a sense of what this program could do for me, let’s just say that if it currently takes me upwards of two weeks to flesh out a new IP, with this baby fully functional I could get it down to about 3 days. Not to mention the practical applications it has for generally organizing lots of dispersed files on your hard drive.

Furthermore, there is a follow up program that I am designing that will be geared towards Prototyping Manga. After learning the value of tools from the games industry I’ve decided to apply some of the same principles to Manga. The goal of the program is to allow users to be able to rapidly prototype short-form and long-form manga via templates. Users will have full control over panel shapes, dialogue balloons, and a library of backgrounds and characters grouped together based on perspective. This program is for those who can’t afford Manga Studio and just want to quickly piece together visual flow and story flow without having to draw it. I’ll post more details about it later on.

When the programs are all finished up I’ll be selling them off of my new (upcoming) website for about $19.00 each. I’ll also be including a free e-book on IP development with them. I figure I might as well get some sort of residual income now while I have a job to fall back on.

Work

Been working those 10 hour days lately as we push for content complete on our project. I’ve been scripting gameplay for about two and a half months now and everything is finally coming together. I’m glad that I have been lucky enough to be such a large part of it. I’ll let you know more details about the game when it goes public.

Life

Hiromi is a gift from some Greek god-whichever one loves food. She has not relented in her quest to conquer my kitchen and like the Persian Emperor Xerxes she requires only that I kneel and submit to her divinity. Well, my flag is raised and it’s white. Take a look at some of the “average” meals she served up over the past few months:

Misc.

  • Ghost Rider is funny in a way it probably didn’t intend to be.

  • Speaking of funny, have you seen the trailer for Black Sheep?

http://www.blacksheep-themovie.com/  Priceless.

  • OMG, look what DBZ character I found at my local supermarket!

  • From a Science World trip:

Lots of other stuff going on, but I’ll spare you the excitement and wait till I have something to show. Until then,

LOVE AND PEACE!!!
