Happy New Years!
Ah, there’s another year gone, a productive one at least. Now’s the time to set out the goals for the New Year. Here are a few things I plan on getting done this time around:
- Finish at least three short story mangas (one of which should be good enough to submit to Tokyopop’s Rising Stars of Manga competition).
- Finish all the writing and IPD work for the manga series formally known as CSJ.
- Pay off my computer.
- Get Canadian credit.
- Get promoted to I.P. Developer at Radical (or some remotely similar position).
- Buy enough gold to build a financial safety net, which could hypothetically allow me to be free from work for a few months.
- Get the IPD program that I designed, prototyped and build within the first half of the year.
- Finish the game prototype that Bryce and I have been working on in our spare time at Radical.
- Ace the mentorship program with my current mentor, Eric Holmes, and apply for the next; Shoot for Steven Vandermesh or Cam Webber.
- Go to Japan and meet Hiromi’s mom and sister…oh and her dog Sora ^_^
- Catch-up on all those good RPG’s I missed during the Christmas rush (FFXII, Suikoden V, Valkyrie Profile 2, etc.)
That’s all of the main ones for now. We’ll see just how many I can mark off by 2008!
December Wrap-Up
I’ve been crazy busy this month. I had so many projects to get out of the way, but alas, it’s all done and I did manage to sneak in a bit of a break near the end (if you want to call it that). Here’s a quick rundown of how the month went:
It snowed!
The Studio got a bit of an upgrade (art desk, TV, new tables and book shelves):
Hiromi transformed into a super chef and cooked all sorts of interesting and amazing foods for me:
Hiromi and I held a party with all of our friends. Her and her crew also cooked up a storm for that (most of what you see is homemade):

Misc. Tidbits
· Went to Science World and saw Body Works 3. I was totally disappointed that we couldn’t draw while in the exhibit, but I picked up the photo book and it has all of the figures from the exhibition broken down in full-color detail, so whatever (I should have just bought that in the first place).
· I played the heck out of Dragon Ball Z Budokai: Tenkaichi 2. I haven’t had so much fun with a fighting game since Street Fighter Alpha 3. It also amuses me how Dragon Ball still remains so appealing after all these years. I felt like I was reliving the story all over again. Natsukashi desu ne…
· Casio Royal is cool. Best Bond Movie I’ve ever seen at least ^_^
· Currently addicted to Prince of Tennis (on episode 120 something) and the One Piece anime (although, it’s really ticking me off that it takes soooooooooo long to get to the next episode, but that just means that it’s a really good series that keeps me craving for more).
Jya, that’s everything for this month. Lots of stuff I can’t really talk about that’s work related, but you’ll see it eventually.
