I woke up hungry--unsurprising since I didn't eat anything for nearly 20 hours yesterday in order to get blood work done to tell if I have gestational diabetes--and decided it had been a while since I posted so what the heck, a snack and a post it is.

I spent a good part of the day sorting baby clothes. I've just been tossing the kids' things in tubs as they outgrow them which means we have a lot different clothes all jumbled together. I really have a lot more sympathy for women who want the baby out *now, dammit!* I still think inductions are over-used (I have a sister-in-law who loves her doctor because he happily induces her at 39 weeks just because, which I really don't understand) and given my last awful experience, I don't personally ever want to be induced--one nice thing ( Read more... )

My midwife appointments have been interesting for the past month, and frankly I'd much rather have them be boring. First there was the GBS, and I had an iron deficiency. I've been have a lot of Braxton-Hicks contractions over the past week, and they are so bloody annoying. They don't hurt exactly, but they are often uncomfortable and distracting. 1. Wordperfect, my word processor of choice, crashes anytime I complete a spell check. For short documents that I've already gone over a dozen times with a fine tooth comb (ie query letters) this is annoying but not the end of the world.
