While I'm not giving up on the writing thing (I've even signed up for
NaNoEdMo because I'm insane) I am also well aware that being a mommy is going to be taking up the lion's share of my time and energy for the foreseeable future.

The Good (my precious little girl) )
That's excellent. I got a good bark-laugh out of that one, 'specially coming after all the luminescent glow-y happy baby sentiment of the first paragraph.
Don't worry too much about the tummy. Remember, it took it nine months to accomodate that little urchin of yours, so you can give it at least a fraction of that time to return to pre-baby proportions. And stretch-marks are a fact of life (barring cosmetic knifework), I got s.m. just from puberty (that's what I get for growing too fast) and they do fade a bit.
The bleeding bit is a bitch, however. I have to second the vote for cloth - they're pretty comfortable and it's nice to know I'm not hurting the environment every time my 27 days rolls around. Lunapads are nice, but I like this Raghag person (crappy website but pretty good product). Have you ever heard of "the Keeper"? I don't know how advisable it is post-preggers, but I think it's pretty cool. Especially when you're having a lot of flux-ie flow.
