Whether or not you like Obama, you have to admit how special today is. When was the last time you've heard about not only the US, but a big chunk of the world celebrating over a politician being elected into office?
All those people dancing in the street during election day...some people might have thought it was overboard, but I personally found it touching that people did this for a politican rather than their favourite sports team winning the Super Bowl/World Cup/Stanley Cup/Michael Phelps.
Time will tell how well Obama does as a president. But there's no denying the fact that he gave the US hope, which is what we've needed for a long time. Let the world be excited over a new world leader that gives them hope of better things to come. It's a welcomed change over the pedantic things we normally carry on about.
