Quick KSN Update
here we go boys and girls, time for the fun. I have 6 days to image and prep 96 servers. Not impossible but requires that I make a couple changes for the next couple months.
Also, yesterday I got handed a bill for a bandwidth overage on Sparky, Which is the server which all my free accounts are on. I normally allocate about 100GB of bandwidth to the server for web traffic as that is more than enough to handle all the traffic that all 27 free websites that I host generate. Someone who shall remain nameless ( I have already talked to them and they will be paying me back, in a couple months) racked up over 1TB of bandwidth on his free account. Normally, the free accounts are capped, however those of you on the "Friends of Ksnarf" plan (that is most of the people who actually read this) there are no caps on either bandwidth or storage. this person, knowing this, uploaded a fairly large file to a couple transfer sites that got picked up quickly and it got out of control.
If it was any other month, I would have had the extra pre-paid bandwidth to cover the overage, except I am pumping all my extra storage and bandwidth into this new project which is slowly sucking away all my server resource's. I have decided to implement bandwidth and storage caps on all accounts until i can get this project over with and things will hopefully return to quasi-normal.
most of the free sites will receive a 1GB bandwidth cap with max 50 concurrent connections and 500MB storage. There are a couple that already use more than this and are actually running a business so I have upp'ed their bandwidth / storage caps as needed. if you feel your site needs more concurrent connections, bandwidth or storage I am more than happy to play around with the limits so that a large percentage of people are happy.

If I am currently hosting a site that you no longer want or you know you are not going to use, let me know and I will stop hosting it. I am quite happy to hold onto the domain name if you are going to use it later or if you want to transfer it. Also, if you want some help with your site let me know, even though i am busy for the next few weeks, I am hosting these sites because you had an idea and I want to help you make that idea a reality.
