Happy 2015!
Welcome to 2015! I don't expect any major changes in my life, but let's see what the new year brings. I had a nice Christmas and got the Roku I wanted. I've been having fun playing with it-- It's been a good week to play since nothing much is on TV between Christmas and New Years. I found the Australian series McLeod's Daughters and have been watching the first season this week. I remember watching the first 2 or 3 seasons on WE or OWN several years ago, so it will be nice to rewatch those plus see the other several seasons never shown in the US. Lots of other things to check out and watch as well, plus I have a few free previews of Hulu Plus, RDIO, Amazon Streaming, and Netflix(if/ when I open it up), if I really enjoy any of those, I may keep the subscription, but so far I've mainly been enjoying the free content.
Had a fun New Years Eve, a neighborhood friend invited me over last night, so I went over and rung in the New Year at their house. I had planned on cleaning a bit and relaxing, plus I had bought a tiny bottle of champagne, but it was nice to hang out with friends. Today my parents came up for dinner, plus brought back one of their gifts for me to return. I had bought them a toaster online (from Target) and when they tried it out, one side of the toast would be black and the other would be fine. So I will return it and either give them a gift card or write them a check since it's not available in the store and is sold out online--- including the Hamilton Beach website. Oh well, I tried. :)
