And the title of this post says it all..
Not that I'm particularly upset by it. I've always loved routines, since I'm one for being organised. During the holidays, my schedule was thrown out of whack and I couldn't even remember what day it was unlike on a normal school day. The only thing is the immense amount of homework assigned to us during the holidays which I was rushing out last night and even today.
I don't see the point of giving so much homework during the holidays. I would very much rather study and revise through all my work on my own during the holidays, and the teachers can give all the work they want when school reopens. It would probably save us our sleep rushing the things out (though yes, you might say it's my own fault for procrastinating and I do accept the blame for that, but here's what I think a better approach to the whole homework thing is), as well as save their time scolding us. What's the whole point, if the teachers know that we'll be tardy in handing up our work? As much as I try to meet the deadline, our "holidays" are seriously.. well, non-existent.
But, then again, I'm not complaining. These holidays have been a great one though I didn't particularly enjoy it when I was living through it at that time. Looking back, it was all worth it.
Firstly, RMUN. The people there, the inside jokes, and basically the whole experience was.. well, unforgettable. Sadly, this is my first last MUN unless Crescent decides to allow Sec 4s to go next year. I highly doubt that will happen, so thanks so much to all the wonderful people I met. You guys are the love, and General Assembly 1 is da bomb! :D
Secondly, OBS. Actually I wanted to blog SO much about it, but never found the time. I shouldn't be online and blogging now either, but I'm making this quick. OBS was really.. a life-changing experience. There, it taught me so much more things in such a short time than I would ever learn in a span of five days. Connecting with the outdoors and nature again was also very refreshing, after 2 years of not going to camps like those I've gone to when I was a Girl Brigader (sorry- cheesy, but once a GB girl, always a GB girl) in the Girls' Brigade in primary school. Zippy, our instructor, imparting many lessons I wouldn't have thought of learning; Columbus, my watch, had the best watchmates in it I could ever dream of having; and Nature, once again, rekindled my love for it.
Thirdly, my fellow Exco members. We've been through so much together, and Semester 1 was one tough time. I'm glad I have the other 7 of you to fall back on whenever I feel the things being an Exco member makes us feel, because we all know we are going through the same things. Exco meetings in the holidays were fun and productive, so let's make this coming semester the best! I love you all, my sunshine kids. ♥
Fourthly, softball. Thanks to my teammates for the birthday gift!! I love it a lot, it's so sweet. Thanks for being there when I was down, and for all the times we've had and will have. Sec 4s, I'll miss you guys LOADS! All the craziness we shared, all the sweat & tears we shed. Sec 3s, let's make the coming Nationals the best we'll ever play. Do it for ourselves, for the Sec 4s, do it for Crescent. It'll be our last time representing our school as a team, so let's make 'em proud. ♥ Crez Softball B Div '07/'08!
Lastly, the library. For the whole of the last week of the June holidays, I went there to do my homework. On Monday, I saw Kang-An there too, so I told him that night. From Tuesday to Friday, we ended up meeting there and studying with his friend too since he needed to mug and I needed to do homework. Thanks for all the.. um, slacker fun, and for our friendship. Thanks for helping me with my homework! :D HAHAHA. My time spent there was pretty productive though I wouldn't say very, and it was entertaining, definitely. Studying in the library is the love too(:
