The Next Fix, Matt Wallace's first collection of short stories is available in limited edition hardcover accompanied with a personalized signature from the wicked bard himself (also available from Amazon). I'm told if you order the hardcover, Matt will even write a dirty limerick on the front page, just for you. If you're thinking, Why would I want a dirty limerick from Matt Wallace? then clearly you need to buy this book, because you've no doubt not yet heard the glory of Matt Wallace's prose, much less his poetry. I wouldn't quite call it a tongue of flame over your head, or scales falling from your eyes, because that'd be blasphemous, but it's pretty damn good, and if you like the kind of fiction I do, it will make you a believer.
Seriously, I love this guy. He's one of my favorite writers -- established as well as up and coming. I'm not kidding when I say he writes some of the most exciting stuff I've ever read and/or listened to. And it's not the first time I've gone on about him -- hthe dude can write. And I honestly think he's on the way to rocking the genre for many years to come.
Also, despite his tough guy demeanor, the dude's a giant teddy bear and one of the nicest writers your likely to meet. Or at least email with. If you've not yet read or listened to any of his stories, I highly recommend you checking out what's available for free at his site, and then picking up this book.
