When you hear there's a story about the devil corrupting a Catholic Girl's school, and that the hitwoman hired to stop him is also the school's most irreverent alumnus, you have to wonder if the story that's told can possibly rival the one your imagination's spinning.
Old Tricks, the latest story from Matt Wallace and DM Moerhle on
Variant Frequencies, pretty much kicked my imagination's ass. Leann Mabry, who's been pretty busy on the podcasting circuit on VF and Escape Pod as of late, nails her part as the recovering-Catholic hitwoman and Matthew Wayne Selznick of Brave Men Run fame plays Bob the janitor, her mark who just might be the devil. I've never heard Selznick do the bad-boy before, but this has to be one of the most fun parts I think I've heard him play.
I've enjoyed listening to VF ever since I first heard
the Failed Cities Monologues but this has got to be one of the most purely amusing stories they've put out.
