Today I feel grumpy. I'm coming down with something, which always throws me off. My body can only take so much, you know? Having a busy week plus a busy weekend means I'm really run down. I think after the November craziness I'm going to talk to my boss about working from home one day a week. My senior editor usually works from home two days a week. Sometimes he's at home the entire week. I think working from home would do a lot to alleviate my run-down state.

Instead of being down in the dumps though I want to shift back to feeling positive. SO. Good things:

- Even though I'm coming down with something it hasn't graduated to full-blown illness!
- It's almost Thanksgiving!
- I'm getting a much-needed haircut on the 22nd
- It's almost my birthday!!! I'll get to put my crazy, outrageous, stressful, 23rd year behind me
- I am alive and employed and have somewhere to live

Speaking of birthdays, I'm trying to figure out what I should do. Any ideas? I was thinking a party but my apartment doesn't have a lot of seating and isn't really set up for a party. I was also thinking about a big group dinner but going out to dinner with 8 people (or more) can be really obnoxious. And it's not my idea of fun to make dinner for that many people. Plus, we'd have to eat on the floor, since, again, lack of seating. So I turn to you LJ list, what do you recommend in the way of a birthday extravaganza?
