Nice stuff: Kid Cudi's album "Man on the Moon: The End of Day" is really awesome. Yeah he is Kanye's (what the president said) protege but MAN is he good. I can't snub an album featuring both MGMT and Ratatat. So if you are EVER feeling adventurous enough to try some different hip hop, you may surprise yourself:

A VENT:
ONE WEEK. OMG. ONE WEEK AND HIS IS GONE! I am so happy. It will be the biggest sigh of relief EVER. I am just venomous with the ex. He STILL doesn't really seem to get it. Says things that set me off like "you played a part in this and aren't entirely blameless." I have NEVER, EVER laid a finger on him nor provoked him nor threaten to physically assault him. I have said some very mean things but at this point, I am still being kind. He really thinks that I should take comfort in the fact that he was ill. Should be happy that I kept him alive and that I am a hero. Funny how that doesnt make the nightmares go away (I have a lot of nightmares and quite a few have starred him for obvious reasons). Wish I could say he hasn't threatened to "cripple" anyone in my life recently. I have tried everything and sadly being "friends" with him is the easiest way of dealing with it. I have tried to ignore him and stay away from the house but that makes him persistent and gets him really upset. So until next Wednesday. I will be there throwing stuff out the window.
Also, there will be some snip snipping in my life. Cutting people out that is. I am sorry but one too many strikes and you are out. Knowing what happen you TELL him to go and date women online? ARE. YOU. INSANE? No really. /BIG GIANT FACE PALM. Why don't you just put a loaded gun in his hands? Idiotic move. No one with a fraction of a brain would have made that sort of suggestion.
Regardless, he is convinced that the way he will "show he is better" is by dating someone. No one seems to get through to him that he SHOULD NOT be dating anyone for a long time. He already has a 20 year old (Maureen, naive film studies girl) lined up to rinse and repeat with. The shrink told him he should focus on himself but that doesn't seem to stick. Nothing I can do either.
