Here's the other part of Sunday's walk's picspam. If the first part was mostly songbirds / park stuff, then this is all seaside.
Swan.
Swans narrowly avoiding collision.
Oldish-looking crow. Also a bit wet, I think.
Black-headed gull with lunch.
Another black-headed gull who seems to have just spotted future lunch.
Random sea view. I liked the clouds.
Swan chasing another swan.
Swan has caught another swan. (No, I have no idea what they were doing. I think fighting, but maybe it's some kind of bizarre swan mating dance.)
Mallard drake drying himself off after a swim.
Female mallard looking pretty.
Jackdaw who looked like it's been in a fight.
Busy little wagtail going somewhere. Determinedly.
I wouldn't bet my head on it but I think these are common mergansers.
Sparrow preening.
Common eider pair. (Yes, there's a female on the pic as well.) First time I've actually seen them here outside of the zoo!
Herring gulls. Making more herring gulls, I believe.
Mergansers, but ... they look like red-breasted mergansers, but the head of the darker one really doesn't look like the head of a male red-breasted merganser which should be all black. Same with common merganser and that's all we have. So .. either it's a weird-looking red-breasted merganser male or it's a darker-than-average female in a lesbian couple. Or something. Doesn't really look like a female head either...
Arctic tern. Again, first time that I've actually seen one. Although when they're further off from the shore, I doubt I could tell them apart from black-headed gulls from a distance anyway. :-/
