Shockingly, I managed to quit working by 6:30 pm or so today, mostly because (a) I'd met my aim for today, (b) my hands and fingers are hurting. Wanted to go out for a walk, but once again, that thought never led anywhere. Maybe tomorrow, if it's dry. Although the forecast is something like +6°C for tomorrow, with rain. Brrr.
Anyway... here's some picspam from my holiday trip, while I can still vaguely remember where we were. The Hague & surroundings mostly today.
The Hague. Escher museum. Lamp in the mirror. (This may be upside down. Possibly.)
The Hague. Water.
The Hague. A very, very large seagull perching on top of a building. (Or, alternatively, a seagull perching on top of the Amsterdam Airport in
Madurodam.)
Kinderdijk. Windmills.
Kinderdijk. Inside of a windmill.
Kinderdijk. More windmills.
Kinderdijk. Geese.
Gouda. Cheese. And typical Dutch people. (Who always walk around dressed like that and carrying big round cheese wheels around. Really.)
Gouda, I think. Dutch doggies are cultured and literate. It's apparently enough to post little signs telling them not to do their poopoo on the pavement.
The Hague. Sky.
The Hague. Reflections.
Rotterdam. Erm. Please tell me I'm not alone in finding that sculpture just a little bit... questionable.
