Yesterday I was in a lot of pain. Lower back. Probably a result of lack of exercise and long hours sitting in front of the computer. It's a bit better today; sleeping helps. Physical health: My diet is working quite well. I'm about down to what I weighed this time last year. At this rate I'll slip out of the BMI range of Overweight-but-not-obese and into "ideal" well before going to see aetherspoon this fall. Woo! And yes, BMI is a load of crap - but it saves me from posting my actual weight in numbers ( Read more... )

So my Pomatomus socks that were going so well turned out too tight for my feet. Blargh. I also can't make them the regular length with the yarn I'm using - Silja Strømpegarn is only 150 meters per skein and the socks need more like 175. So I can do them with two leg repeats instead of the normal three, I guess. But I'm going to have to start all ( Read more... )

Things are mostly going well for me. I've finally cleared some floor space and started using Wii Fit. I'm in bad enough shape where I find it challenging, and for now I'm just trying to make myself use it every day, and to increase the time I spend on it by a few minutes every day. I was in the mood to be alone and walk a bit, so despite the icy ground, I skipped waiting for the subway and walked the last leg of the commute back home.
