Poison Ivy Update -- I can ALMOST pass for human again

Aug 26, 2008 18:57

I was really hoping the doctor would whip out a shot of epinephrin and make the swelling go away by magic, like what happened in the "Mango Incident." But she said that was only for anaphylactic shock, so I'd have to make due with a script for Prednisone. Just my luck.

Anyway, it's been a few hours, and the swelling *is* going down. When my almost 13 year old came home today after school, instead of screaming in shock when he was my face, he burst out laughing That's right -- LAUGHING! So I guess I didn't look too scary. (This is the place where I should probably explain that Chris is autistic, and his emotions are somewhat whacky at times).

Anyway, I'm feeling much better. However, I'm wondering if I need an epi-pen for the next time I stumble across poison ivy, since my reactions are getting progressively worse.
