March 29, 2007 - A typical gimik with college friends

Gah. I came home from my Blue Roast celebrations (Bel field, Embassy, Something Fishy) around 3:30am. I expected to be asleep the minute I hit the bed. I have to meet up with everyone at Ateneo at 10am. But no. I slept after 5am, I think. I only had 4 hours of sleep, what is up with me? (Little did I know then, this bout of sleeplessness would not be the first one this week . . . )

I woke up after 9am, pissed about my lack of sleep, but hustled to get out of the house and meet my friends. I was always the late one, didn't want to be too late this time. I arrived before 10:30am at Sec B, 2nd floor, our meeting place. . . . and I was the only one there. Wahahaha. Being the first bird is a rare occasion for me, so that was hilarious.

This day was actually a free day during the graduation week of the Seniors. Joanne decided to treat us to lunch to celebrate her graduating with honors. Congrats Anne! And thank you so much for the treat!!

She treated Ces, Jan, Candy, Tak, Pearl, Pots, Gelo, Reine, Jose, and I at Ebisu, that Jap resto in Eastwood. Loved their salmon balls whatever and the banana cream pie(?) ice cream. Gigantic serving of ice cream, it absolutely thrilled me. You know how I am about ice cream: I'd spend P500 on it as long I know it's worth every bite.

We bought tickets to watch "Premonition". I remember how excited I was to watch it , I've been wanting to see it for so long. Then,  they boys had to make it more exciting for me. Apparently, Pots and Jose do not like thriller or suspense movies. They hate being surprised or scared. Huwaaat??? I wouldn't be surprised to hear it from the other girls, but from these boys?? Man! I told them I would be definitely seating near them during the movie.

Since we had enough time on our hands before the movie starts, the Bratz decided to sing karaoke over at the arcade. Now, I'm not much for karaoke since I'm gravely conscious about my voice. So I spent most of that time picking choice songs to sing, and dancing when appropriate. It's a good thing the Bratz enjoyed themselves, haha. They're the ones who count here, anyway. I had fun just seeing them happy. Plus, seeing Pots more willing to sing than I am was great. I distinctly remember him singing "Ligaya" (my all-time favorite) and sharing a duet with his beloved Pearl. Cute. :)

Next, on to the movie. It was great!!! I loved it. :D I think I cried at the end, I don't know. Have to ask my friends . . . or maybe I did cry, but I kept it a secret. Waha. Jose made the movie more memorable for me. The first time that "scary music" started playing during a suspenseful scene, he reacted instantly. He said something like, "Ayan na. Ayoko ng ganyan e!" Hahahahahaha! (Haha my memory fails me. I think this was what happened. Then again, he may have reacted after the first scary scene. Still, the thought is there. :D) And I think he reacted when the kid was shown to have wounds all over her face. Hehe, ang saya.

We all went home around 6pm. It was just a fun day, chillax lang talaga. It was a nice touch to my college grad week, a  day spent on a typical gimik with college friends. Love it. Hay, I miss them. :D
