I didn't even go to Hongdae much in the last few years, and suddenly, I'm in Hongdae a lot for interviews, exhibits, shopping or just eating out. But I'm so not a big fan of the crazy Exit 5 at the station, nor the 45 min bus ride going home. :(

I always wanted to have a caricature of myself, but not the kind that makes your head look like its shaped like a watermelon or your eyes look crazy.

When I saw the sign cafe BALICAT, I immediately thought of the Filipino word balikat. It seemed like a pretty weird name for a cafe, but for one reason or the other, Tes and I went inside this "cat cafe." (This was a week ago? or was it two weeks ago? I forgot!)

Hongdae is getting to be more and more like Harajuku for me. The funky street style, cool shops, artsy stuff, bars, noraebangs and yes... crepes.
