Thursday night party
Thursday night Christian and I went to our friends Boris and Fabian's place in Oakland. Fabian's friends Julien and Anne-Gaëlle were visiting from Lyon and since they were one of the first people we hung out with in Lyon, we wanted to see them again. Additionally, our friend Kate and another girl, Elizabeth, were there. Coincidentally, we all knew how to speak French so the conversation went on in that language for most of the night. The Lyonnais were mightily impressed.
The food and drink were good but overwhelming. Lillet, champagne, red and white wine for drinks. Oysters, quiche, salad, cheese, fruit and ice cream for food. I think I had far too many oysters. Anne-Gaëlle made the quiche from scratch and it was phenomenal.
