Happy Endings

Yaaay! I got Joey's DVD player/TV to like me! I mean, I'm still fucked if I want to watch cable, I have no idea what I did, but I'm apparently technologically inept. C'est la vie.

I'm watching "Happy Endings" which is completely everything I'd hoped for up until now.

Laura Dern! Whoee!

How is it that Maggie Gyllenhal looks fucking adorable no matter waht she does with her hair? Seriously, I wish I could go from like long and curly to pixie cut and look that damn adorable. Grr.

And she can sing. WTF?

Work was better tonight, not everyone was so stressed, but I got patronized like a motherfucker by Crystal. I like Crystal, she's sweet, but I wanted to smack her! She acted like I was the one running the list last night and when I accidentally double sat Katrina tonight (which she didn't mind, for the record) she went off on this whole condescending tirade about how I can tell whether or not a server is ready for another table. Then, she did the same thing to me when she was running the list tonight that Barbara did last night which is why Matt ended up apparently getting like triple sat. Now, I know Bosco's is like all hard core or whatever with the rules about making the rounds and the amount of time you're supposed to spend with each table, but if you have made it to the rank of server and you're any kind of good server (which I understand Matt to be) then you're not going to be too flustered about leaving someone for like thirty seconds too long.

Maybe I'm like a superserver or something, but I have been sat with six tables of six or more people all at once and I got them all taken care of and nobody minded because, hey, obviously we're busy!

I don't know, it just seems to me like Bosco's, for the most part, seems to assume its waitstaff is incompotent. In fact, it seems they just assume everyone's incompotent. Is it just me or does assuming your staff is incompotent hurt productivity?

OK, enough bitching. I think I'm going to go watch the rest of the movie, chill out and stuff. nd stuff.

Damnit, now I want a sub sandwich.

rambling, happy endings, movies, people sucking, bullshit, work
