flight turbulence

au! qri doesn't like commitment.

There's something about being constricted that's always scared Qri. Suffocation, she wonders if there's a phobia for something like that.

It isn't suffocation from anything like a pillow or a snake, but more of the invisible ties of the world. Dating, boy friends, marriage, children, jobs, places - they were too closed off and too official for her.

Therefore, Qri refrained with ease. It was too easy to be committed, it was harder to keep your feet moving. She liked challenges, always, and she liked the world.

So, when Boram offers her to be a flight attendant, she tries to wrap her mind around the idea for awhile.color:black;mso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-fareast-language:EN-US;mso-bidi-language:

Five months, to be exact, until she finally decides to accept it.

"I know commitment isn't your thing - but, you'll get to travel a lot," Boram tells her.

Qri decides that she can't have everything she wants. A little responsibility might not kill her.

She's good at her job.

Her cabin members consist of only two people besides Boram anyways, Soyeon and Eunjung. Soyeon doesn't really ever know when to shut up, and Qri finds it endearing. She likes the silent spaces that Soyeon fills with nonsensical rambles that are secretly brilliant. Soyeon knows how to keep her up on those really long, enduring flights to America and back.

Eunjung is just cool, and Qri can't really find another way to put it. Most people on the plane (men, usually) ask for her. Eunjung doesn't pay too much attention to it though, maybe because she has some beastly boy friend back home. No one believes her though.

Qri is the pretty one, the one who looks best in the uniform. Everyone just likes that.

"I think the guy in 32 C is checking you out," Eunjung nudges Qri on the flight from Korea to Japan. She wiggles her eyebrows and grins.

She throws a discreet glance over her shoulder, blinking some. He's cute, handsome even, putting aside the deep circles underneath his eyes.

Qri exchanges secret smiles with Eunjung, making sure to pass by with the soda cart later extra slowly.

"So, what are you doing in Japan?" Qri asks when they're out to the bar later.

Seungho shrugs, "I'm apart of this huge computer company. I'm here for some business, then I am back to Korea. I'm not big intro traveling, unlike you I suppose."

Qri nods, "Well, traveling has its perks."

"Like meeting guys on the plane who are willing to buy you drinks?"

"Kind of."

"I don't like being tied down," Qri tells him before they decide to go any further (well, before they actually decided to take off any pieces of clothing.)

She isn't really into one night stands, in fact, not at all. Maybe it's the alcohol slushing around in her veins, or the way that he can sing and play piano. Qri doesn't really know, but she doesn't plan on telling anyone either.

He lets out this laugh, a laugh as meaning to say that he understands, so she feels a little more at ease when her blouse familiarizes itself with the floor.

"Well, that's why you're a flight attendant, right?" Seungho asks with an arched brow.

Qri nods. Yeah, she supposes that's why.
