First, I completely and totally finished the Under the Redcoat dresses. I still have a little sewing, but it's not the dresses.
I decided I liked the stripey polonaise best with trim just on the cuffs. Neckline trim got in the way of the stripes. And now there are two stripey buttons to loop up the skirt. I'd be happier with cord than shiny slightly too wide ribbon, but it's what I have and works!
The brown anglaise now has white ruffles in the cuffs. True to form, I pinned them in crooked and didn't notice till after one was sewn, but it's quick to sew in ruffles, at least. There are two ruffles on each side. They're whip gathered to the top and bottom edge of the band, just like the ones I saw in Bath.
I had all the articles I found for my thesis printed at Office Depot today. Much, much easier than printing somewhere between five and six hundred pages on my little ink jet.
I am no longer as nervous about my thesis. Why? All I have to do is somehow get at least fifty pages out of this tremendous stack of paper, and I already have seventeen:
And Koshka got a lion cut. He doesn't like to be brushed, he's been shedding tons, and really needed a haircut.
