Finally got around to getting a couple things done that have waited far too long - did a bit of cleaning of the living room (however, certainly not to "presentable" level, but a nice dent in it). with buying fish food and aquarium filters right before going to the grocery store and buying sushi for dinner. Eh, whatever. A tinfoil barb roll doesn't sound particularly appetizing, so they have nothing to worry about.

This time, after a water change, Alpha (my Betta) decided to burrow into a small crevice that happened to be between a couple rocks. He, not shockingly, got stuck, so it was up to me to move the rocks such that he could escape. And, he kept trying to burrow. Took me a few minutes, but finally moved enough rocks and coaxed him to leave. What is it ( Read more... )

Apparently, one of my fish was either really, really hungry or had aspirations to be a kamikaze. Last night, I opened up the top to feed them, and he hopped right out of the tank! At least it was at a weird angle, so he didn't fall all the way to the floor, only halfway, landing on the towel I keep underneath the tank on a shelf. I scooped him up ( Read more... )
