My computer was uncrashed! Hooray for HP having good customer service/tech support/whatever! They sent me a new hard drive for free (under warranty still) provided I shipped back the defective one... even had prepaid shipping both ways. My laptop's motherboard died, so that's why I've been scarce around the Internet, especially here. I don't want to log onto everything all the time from the university library, oy.
