We're back in Beijing. Apologies for the lack of updates. We were in very remote areas for most of the time. It's hard to type. I found an Internet cafe but each key needs to be pressed very hard before the letters register..... It's RMB3 an hour here instead of the RMB10 at my hotel. I'll do my best to say everything I want to say before I collapse from Repetitive Strain Injury!( Temples, monasteries, bamboo parks, Sichuan opera )

I woke up at 6am this morning and went for breakfast at the place in the hotel. It was a minimalist breakfast which was fine - coffee, two pieces of toast and a fried egg. I hadn't been expecting the fried egg but it was quite nice after all.( Pandas, other travellers and hotpot )

I'm in the internet cafe section of the Traffic Hotel in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, China. It's deserted because it's grossly overpriced - RMB10 per hour as opposed to the few RMB in a few other places, but it's already late here and I hear that Chengdu is not a place to be wandering around on your own after dark.
