Movie trailers, sausages and my love of the public library continues

1. The trailer for Letters to Juliet has some gorgeous scenery but, as the Canadian points outs, proceeds to give away the entire storyline. What would be the point in watching the film now? Also, although I think Amanda Seyfried looked exquisite in Mamma Mia, in this film she returns to her original Veronica Mars look which is bug-eyed alien child who may be related to Dakota Fanning. Speaking of which, I saw Dakota Fanning in "Push" recently and she looks an awful lot like a character actress whose name I just cannot recall right now.

2. The high quality version of the Clash of the Titans trailer is out. Alas, the colour is very bleached, the music is still Extremely Awful and I am in agreement with goobalicious who has pointed out that "Titans Will Clash" is a terrible tagline for a movie named "Clash of the Titans". I mean really - did the creative team sit around and think: "Maybe 'Clash clash clash'? 'No no - I've got it - Titans will clash!'" :P

3. I am about to fry some tomato sausages for our lunch. I haven't fried sausages in years and am in fear of the spatter and spitting. I am also fearful that the skins will split and the sausages will become blacked, skinless, inside outty things that look a bit gross. This site points out that I could reduce mess by cooking the sausages in the oven but that just doesn't feel quite right.

4. My love of my local public library continues. I had put in a request for Elizabeth's London: Everyday Life in Elizabethan London by Liza Picard and also The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. A few days ago, I received an sms telling me that "more than one book" was available for me at Kippax (the closest library to me). I went there today after grocery shopping and went to the service counter - not realising that all requests are actually placed on a separate shelf and it's all very "do it yourself". It was quite cool - I went over to the shelf and filed under my name were the two books! I'm looking forward to reading them because both seem pretty interesting.

5. In other news, I have rediscovered my love of lemon + cream cheese things. Lemon cream cheese pastries, lemony cupcakes frustrated with lemon cream cheese frostings .... Yum!
