To practice the adjectives (형용사) today, everyone wrote down their names on a piece of paper, and everyone else in the class wrote a sentence about her on that paper. None of them were mean. I like 떡 (deok/dok/duk/ddeok/ddok/dduk), so-called "rice cake" that resembles cake only by a huge stretch of the imagination and involves rice as flour - thus confusing people greatly as to what it might be like. It is shaped into finger-sized cylinders that are sticky/chewy/floppy and has no taste on its own. Which is why I like it...as an ( Read more... )

Sindong Elementary School is a tiny place on the road towards Samcheok. I'll be taking a bus or train here every Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock.
