Stalled at the Buttons, Oakland and more

Sweater is done, sleeves are in. Now I'm stalled at what to do with the buttons. Also, I'm thinking that I need to seam the bottom three inches in a little bit more. With the shaping the way it is now, it looks like a damn peplum.

I'm done with the back and left front of Wren and I'm working on the right front. Still chugging along.

I've cast on for le Clapotis and have finished the increases and the first two pattern repeats of the straight section. I did only 4 increase sections (instead of six). To be sure I will have enough yarn for the decreases, I weighed my yarn before starting and after completing the increases. I now know I should stop the straight sections when I have X grams of yarn left. That way I won't run out. I already laddered down the first two little bits and it's going to look awesome when it's done. The yarn is variegated, but it's pretty subtle, going from green to teal to navy blue to gray, so I think it's going to be a great staple for the winder wardrobe.

The Oakland Knit and Crochet show was great. I bought a ton of fiber (exaggerating of course) - some silk/merino, some Corridale and some 100% CASHMERE! The cashmere was a steal - $18 for 8 ounces. The Corridale is going to be spun up into singles for my mom to use in her Navajo weaving and the silk merino is going to be, you know, whatever.

That's all for now. I did take pics of my acquisitions from the Oakland show, so I'll post those soon.
