What is it with readers calling Buffy dumb?

I know I don't purposefully write her as a dumb character. I try my best to write her as close to in character as I can. Buffy's not book smart, admittedly (though she's smart enough to get good grades on the SAT). She's street savvy, intuitive, ( Read more... )

There's stuff I ought to be doing but I really want to write right now. I'm conflicted.

There are times when I sit and stare at whatever it is I'm writing and wonder What Happens Next? And then I stare at it some more and wish it would hurry up and write itself, because I really want to know, dammit.

Whenever I'm stuck, that's the question that I ask myself: What Happens Next? WHN? is, possibly, the reason my stories get finished. ( Read more... )
