One year ago today, I walked out the front door, heard a plaintive meow, looked up... and acquired a third cat.
It was a rocky road to get to where we are now, but she's worth it. LittleGirl still hisses at her much of the time (but trades licks the rest); LittleGuy has accepted her enough to tell me when she wants to come in, though he's still dubious about playing with her. She is no longer the Michigan Flat Cat, having come to appreciate regular meals as our cats tend to do. She's a fine and mighty hunter, bringing us several rodents a week.
She likes to lick her humans, and tackle her stuffed mousie from atop her scratching post. And at the moment, she's asleep in my closet.
Happy adoption day, Cat3. We're glad you picked our tree to pretend to be stuck in.
