Reported my Dell motherboard dead to IT yesterday. The Dell tech came onsite with a new MB, and installed it today. Why Apple can't replace a CDROM in less than 7 days?

I was given the opportunity to buy Rugby World Cup tickets for 2007 on Friday. I signed up for updates as a patron of a Rhone rugby club a few months ago. I didn't think anything of it at the time, however since the RWC is being held in France they are giving clubs and patrons first pick. I am out of home computer until Apple decides to fix my Mini. My superdrive will not eject CDs. I realize shit happens. However, everyone I know who owns an Apple product has had problems with the hardware. Apple needs to let people OEM the hardware and stick to making software. Why worry about the same things as Microsoft and Dell combined?
